Bell, a leading UK Systems Integrator, today confirmed it has been named as the winner of the 2018 IBM Client Award for its ground-breaking work with Sportradar.
At one of IBM’s premier award ceremonies – the IBM Broad Reach Cup Regatta is hosted each year in Cowes, the event culminates in a Gala Awards Dinner at the Royal Ocean Racing Club and celebrates the achievement of IBM’s partner community.
The event, currently in its 20th year, brought together partners from all over the UK to share in industry success. After the racing was brought to a close on Monday evening, Paul Brown, Vice President Partner Growth, IBM UK & Ireland was on hand to celebrate partners success.
Bell Integration was handed the prestigious Client Success Award for 2018, the pinnacle of the award ceremony.
“Gaining recognition from one of our key vendors around our security solutions validates the hard work and commitment we aim to generate for customers” said Jonathon Bradshaw, Director, Bell Integration. “This year’s Client Success Award win for our work with Sportradar demonstrates how, by combining deep industry expertise with Cloud, Analytics and Security technologies, we’re able to help sports federations and law enforcement agencies across the globe to detect and prevent fraudulent activities”.
Following the implementation of IBM iBase, Analysts notebook, and other analytic tools, Sportradar has already seen some extraordinary results. A four-time increase in fraud reports generated per month, six-times more ‘persons of interest’ identified every month and a 100 times increase in data generated on ‘persons of interest’.
“Online gambling has now made it easier than ever to bet on various sports all over the world, however, with that explosion of online gambling it’s now a tempting target for criminal organisations looking to exploit the system by fixing matches. Ultimately this award is a great win for everyone involved in fraud prevention; it highlights how specialist organisations can work together to prevent, fraud and abuse”, stated Jonathon Bradshaw.
